Should I have my nails done or do it myself?

Going to a wedding on saturday, not a close friend but just wondering if it's worth the $60 for a mani/pedi, or should I attempt to myself, I can definitely do a half decent job, maybe not so much on my right hand but the mani will be gone by Monday when I go back to work. What are your thoughts, is it worth the splurge?
